At present we have 24 market stalls available for use and these are allocated on a first come first served basis. This market has proved popular with stallholders with well over half of the stalls being booked regularly. As with all of our fairs, regular stallholders are given first choice to re-book their stalls for the following month and there is space available for new regular stallholders. You must book in advance - casual pitches are not available on the day.

Prices for 2011 are:

Each stall is a red and white topped market stall as shown in the picture above and comes complete with a back panel. There are usually 4 stalls to a row and the end stalls have an additional panel at the sides in wet or windy weather for added protection. Each market stall comes with one trestle table and 2 chairs but there is room for extra tables if you want to bring them yourself. Depending upon your chosen layout you can fit 3-4 tables into each market stall. There is no electricity to the stalls.

Set up is from 7 am and you can drive into the market square and park as close as you can get to your stall to unload. All unloading is flat. There are no opening times but the market doesn't start to get busy until around 10 am giving you plenty of time to set up. The market closes at 5 pm and you cannot bring your vehicle onto the square before 5 pm. Stallholders can begin packing up from 4 pm ready for loading at 5 pm.

Car parking is in the Mayorhold Car Park which is just a few minutes walk from the Market Square. You will be provided with a pass which will enable you to park all day for £2.50. All vehicles must be removed from the market square by 9 am. The Mayorhold Car Park is too low for high vehicles so if you are bringing a van we must know in advance so that alternative parking arrangements can be made for you with the market traders vans.

There are various food and drink vans in the market square as well a variety of fast food and sandwich shops in the immediate area. Toilets are available in Peacock Place.
