There are a maximum of 32 market stalls available for use and these are allocated on a first come first served basis. This market has proved popular with stallholders with well over half of the stalls being booked regularly. As with all of our fairs, regular stallholders are given first choice to re-book their stalls for the following month and there is space available for new regular stallholders. You must book in advance - casual pitches are not available on the day.
Prices for 2012 are:
£25 for a market stall
Each stall is a green and white topped market stall and comes complete with a back panel and optional rigid market stall table. They can also be hired as walk-in stalls without tables if you wish to use your own tables and set up in a different shape. Details of stalls can be seen on the website of the market organiser. The stalls are arranged in a horseshoe shape so there is good customer flow, and no stall is out of the main footfall area. Extra tables can be used to put items in front of your stalls in fine weather. Chairs are not provided so please bring your own. There is no electricity to the stalls.
Set up is from 7 am and you can drive into the market and park as close as you can get to your stall to unload. All unloading is flat. There are no opening times but the market doesn't start to get busy until around 10 am giving you plenty of time to set up. The market closes at 4pm and you cannot bring your vehicle onto the market before then.
There are a number of car parks just a few minutes walk from the Market and charging various amounts depending upon where you go. The cheapest is £3 all day.
There is normally a food and drink van in the market and there is also a small cafe close by whose staff come and take orders from stallholders and deliver them back to the stall - so your don't even need to leave your stall to eat! Toilets are available close by (approx 1-2 mins).
